Biography
Radhika Apte is an Indian actress worked mainly in Hindi and South-Indian film industry. She was born September 7, 1985 in Pune Maharashtra to Dr. Charu Apte Pune’s leading Neurosurgeon. She is basically from Pune began her career as a theater artist and associated with troupe Aasakta, a theater group. Later Radhika appeared in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Marathi film industry as well as in Television series. She was born and brought up in Pune and completed her graduation in Economics and Mathematics from Fergusson College, Pune. Radhika took Kathak training for eight years, later she moved to London to Study contemporary dance.
In 2005 Radhika first seen in Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi!, a small role in that film that was a turning point for her and she noticed by actor Rahul Bose and recommended to Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury to cast her for Bengali film. Later she appeared in that film played a role of Brinda Roy Menon, a TV journalist along with co-star Sharmila Tagore, Rahul Bose and Aparna Sen and her role in that film was highly appreciated. Radhika got married to longtime boyfriend Benedict Taylor, British musician in 2012.

She acted in many short films including That Day After Everyday Hindi film playing a role of Leading Kitchen Lady in 2013 and another short Bengali film Ahalya. Apte appeared in lead role in many Tamil and Telugu films including Rakht Charitra part I and part II directed by Ram Gopal Varma, Vetri Selvan, Lion, Dhoni, for that film she had been nominated for SIIMA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

Apte’ major commercial hit Legend and Lai Bhaari became the highest grossing Marathi film of all time. Many Bollywood project she worked including Darmiyan played a role of Ekta, The Waiting Room, Shor in the City was playing a role of Sapna.
